Part I

*HOOT*
"Check HER out, man."
I looked at Nayan, utterly zonked.
"Who the fuck talks like that anymore, man?" I said, and shook my head.
"Dude, just check her out."
I looked at the girl he'd pointed out.
Except, I couldn't believe she was the girl.
Nayan wasn't the kind of guy to point out chicks who weren't totally drop-your-pants hot. Yet, here he had pointed out someone who was too real a beauty for him to ever have considered worthy. Or at least that's what I had presumed. I looked at him, shocked yet impressed, at how much his horizons seemed to have widened. Maybe he was becoming mature or something.
"Her? Wow, man."
"What? No, not her. HER."
I looked exactly in the direction he was directing my gaze, and sighed. Sure enough there was a thin, tall, skinny girl with straight hair and a short skirt, and not enough of an ass to shake, requiring her to move it an extra three inches every time she moved, just to make it look like it existed.
"Dayem!" I said sarcastically, and looked sideways to see if he'd bought it. He had.
I patted him on the back as he moved away to check her out from another angle.
But I didn't move. I was still looking at her. Not HER, her. My her.

******

I walked away from Lakshya. I knew his 'Dayem' had been fake. He wasn't into girls like I was- in more ways than one, if you know what I mean.
Personally, I think that's just his excuse for not getting any.
It's much cooler to say he isn't attracted to girls who don't like him, rather than saying he's attracted to them and then never getting them, isn't it?
Well, that's what Lakshya seems to think.
Enough about my homies.
I had my target for the day set. There she was. Shallow as a pit. Just waiting for someone to notice her. She was lucky I'm the manwhore I am.
Suddenly I felt the urge to look at that girl again. Not the one I wanted to nail, Lakshay's one. I stopped in my tracks. I was so shocked I even felt the urge to do that. I gave her a quick glance that I knew I would never admit to having given later. She was exactly the kind of girl Lakshay would want. There was no denying she was pretty. And even from a distance I could tell she was a riot. But, she was exactly the kind of girl who was capable of killing the Barney in me. She was exactly like Robin.
I walked up to my OOF (object of fixation) for the day.
I looked her up and down,  just for effect and said, "How You doin?"
Or at least that's what I would have wanted to say.
But, we're not cool enough for that.
I'm going to have to gain her trust, maybe even date her before I can get into her pants.
Or so I would have you believe.
I'd had her by the end of the day.
I'm the kind of guy who puts movie halls to the use they're meant to be put.
This girl and I probably only had one thing in common: Our belief in 'Fuck at first sight.'

    And yeah I should have.
I'll start another one and make that a lesbian thing.

I wonder if anyone will agree with you, though.

  9. Amazing writing. Very unique.
You have a bit of the fictional Carolyn Keene in you.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Oh? I'm afraid I don't know what to make of that, seeing as I haven't read much Carolyn Keene yet.

    And who are you?
'Anonymous' kind of throws me off : /

  11. Umm, Nice story, But " Amour "? Really?

    ReplyDelete
  12. It's not the end of the story, I hope you know that?

    And yes, Amour.
    Love.
    In French.

My real name isn't very poetic.
    Or author-ish.

  13. Oh and Anonymous= Sarthak : )
    Thanks.

Wow, I keep busting everyone's attempts at concealment of identities.

  14. Bwahahaha, I love this one. Especially the 'OOF'.
Was there a particular reason you wanted me to read this......you know one of those reasons you don't really tell them...but..yeah nevermind...

I'm sure there's more to this? I don't really care about the second guy, the first one however yes. I'd like to read more! :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. No there wasn't any particular reason, I asked everyone who usually does read my stuff but hadn't read this to read it : )
Never really tell 'them'? Them who?

Ah, good you found it funnyy

Oh yeah there is more to this. A lot more. It'll come up in bits and parts.

YOU didn't care for the second guy?
    How ironic.

    ReplyDelete
  16. No, because I can relate more to the first one. Yes I know what you're thinking, that's just how I come across, it's not like me. :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. It's not about how you come across. That hardly matters. If it did, I'd be screwed.
It's what you told me :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm confused. Do you think I'm a slut or not? xD

yaay new layout. And it's GREEN APPLE. Me likey.!

    ReplyDelete
  19. and i noticed the tag to this post. Story behind it?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm not at liberty to disclose that information :)
But, what would you do with that information?

I've been very undecided on what I'd name my book if I ever wrote one. This is the beginning (or maybe a middle portion) of my 5th book (if you count attempts). J.A.M is a prospective name. It means a lot more to me than can be explained here.

  21. ^*WOOT* !
    worthy of praise tutika
Its actually quite interesting. Write more.
    Lesbian thing sounds good :D

  22. BAHAHAHAHH!!
    The comments ^ are hilarious.
    Boys.

    Sorry.

    And Carolyn Keene? Really??
    NANCY DREW?

    NO!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Sargun, the first time you're going to call me 'Tutika' is going to be HERE?! Oh, you ass.
    But, thanks :D
And you're awesome for doing this all on your own :)
And the next one is almost positively going to be LESBIAN. HOOT, baby!

Shreya, as I said, I wouldn't know if I was like her or not. Besides my habit of not reading books in general, I never read much Nancy Drew because by the time I realised I should read more I was too old for her :)

And yes, the comments ARE hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Chep, you just told people I read Nancy Drew. That's why I wrote Anonymously. Understand the sentiments :)
and Shreya (Adhikari?), come on ,the pauses, breaks, etc. DITTO. It actually depends on the Nancy Drew you read coz its been authored by many females.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yeah Sarthak you got her surname right.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
See, usually that would be lame, but since it's YOU Sarthak, it just makes you cooler, man. Must be another reason who you're so brilliant- a reason all the other guys missed out on :)
    (AGAIN not sarcastic)

    And guys thanks
I don't know why, but yes.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ok fine, I accept that it was lame but I was serious about this one :(

And you don't really expect Sargun to talk about this stuff, So.....

Thanks woman, but stop with the compliments, I mean don't stop but reduce them because they get me in a position where it looks like I am arrogant.
And this is YOUR blog, reserve it for your 'tareef'

Also, I gave invitations to Amaan and Arpita to follow this blog, and guess who hasn't accepted yet.

    ReplyDelete
  27. And what's with the theme. The background texture is looking good but when you go down, there comes this green apple, unappetizing :(

Put some Pizza and stuff. Sargun will like it too.

I guess Physics = Lameness but the Devaang one covers up na?

  28. Good going, (Blogger Profile Views 53)
See, I told more than ten people read your blog or atleast have seen your profile.
There's another case - A person might have seen it many times. Is it you? :P

Once the RSS thing is done, you will get to know how many and stuff.
When I used to blog I had this thing called Google Analyics. I will get it done for your blog on Monday. It is Awesome

And SHREYA sorry, it must have seemed a bit rude.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Sarthak your first comment I didn't get : |
What does Sargun not want to talk about?

And Sarthak yaar, giving compliments is my THANG. You should know that by now.
And yeah I saw Amaan accepted, thanks : D

And you're not arrogant. No one I know is TRULY arrogant. Not even Amaan, and THAT'S saying something. I'll explain in one of my upcoming posts.

And the theme..I liked the colour. The green apple was by default. I like to think of it as the 'Desperate Housewives one' xP That show is the SEX. Literally.

Devaang joke. Well...just wait. (next post)

And if everytime I come to my blog to check comments or write a new post is counted as a viewing then I'm afraid I'm the culprit :(

And THANK YOU for all the help. Really : D
    I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ok, forget the first comment. I will mail you a list of things that I need to explain you. It's getting longer day by day

LMAO at the 'that's saying something' part (true true)

Dude, the theme part was an attempted joke. FAIL

No, I wasn't talking about your blog views, I was talking about your blogger profile views, where you have your movies, interests, etc. This comes up when one clicks 'Amour'

    Welcome :D

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yes I know it is. Whatta pity I'm a fool!

Fail indeed. Crap. 'I will try better next time.'

Okay Sarthak don't get all technical on me, man.

Just let my exams get over and you're going to get yet another avid follower :D Very, very cool.

  36. Shrutika, you write better than anyone I know. The fact that Ujjwal told me to read your blog, who himself is such an amazing writer proves how amazing you are :)
And, I was flattered! Like really really flattered. Ask him, I couldn't believe it =O
YAY! :D Thank you so much! :D You're awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Really? What? : O
    How is that possible!
Wow, that means a lot you have NO idea.
    Thank you so much.

I didn't know he told you, must thank him for that. Thanks Ujjwal :D Maybe if you knew how to stay in contact doof, I'd be able to thank you more :P

YAY! You're liberal with compliments too!
This is going to be FUN :D

    ReplyDelete
  38. You know, before you introduced the second guy, i actually thought it would be girl, hence a lesbian thing. Would've made it way cooler. =P Not that it isn't amazing.

"Fuck at first sight" Hahaha =)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ah, well, I didn't think it would be like that. But, it's all about surprises innit? :)

And the 'lesbian' idea seems to be pretty popular so I'm considering it very seriously. You and I definitely know how to think in that direction don't we Srey? ;)

    And. THANKS :D

    ReplyDelete
  40. Sarthak..

    Waiting for more!

  42. Hey Hey, Haven't you read Hardy Boys? Anyways Nancy Drew was a pretty cool girl, better than Miley Cyrus and all. What am I saying? This doesn't make any sense.
