Sorry

Sorry when I shout at you,
For something you did wrong.
Sorry when I make you wait,
Just a second too long.

Sorry when my badminton skills,
Don’t match up to yours.
Sorry when you get bugged,
By my apologizing for hours.

Sorry when a wall in your house
I made for you got cracked
Sorry when you lost your money
And I couldn’t get it back.

Sorry when the food’s too cold,
Or when the tea’s too hot,
Sorry when I dropped the ball,
That you should have caught.

Sorry I walked in
On you and my crush.
Sorry when you peed,
And I forgot to flush.

Sorry when I don’t know something,
You’re just pretending to know,
Sorry when you step on my foot,
Yet you don’t stop, you just go.

Sorry that everything I do,
Goes bluntly unnoticed,
But you see there’s nothing that you do,
So nothing can be noticed.

Sorry that I’m so submissive,
And obediently do everything you tell me to.
Sorry that your criticism is baseless,
Because my faults are so few.

Sorry that you’re so hated.
And that this loathing is shared by me,
And those I’ve converted,
As they believed me, I’m sorry.

Sorry I helped people see you,
In the light you’re meant to be seen,
Sorry this truth is spewing from me,
But, people should know your slate isn’t clean.

  1. Brilliant.
You're actually the only really good poet of our age that I know.
